"Excellent soap. Lathers up into a dense, persistent foam with really great lubricating properties for a razor. The eucalyptus and menthol gives a good kick to your face for a shave. Bowl is great for travel."

Proraso - none better

"This is my favorite shave soap. I have found nothing that can even approach Proraso for a close, very comfortable shave. Badger brush, wash your face with noxema and hot water, brush in Proraso, and go at it with your favorite razor. Two passes: one with the grain, one across the grain - short strokes, keeping the razor rinsed between strokes. Rinse your face with warm and then cold water and apply a thin layer of noxema, rubbing it in well, rinse again with cold water and your favorite after shave. You're on top of the world!"

"It is just plain hard to beat the Proraso tub creams -- pick whichever one you like. Use it with a good brush, just like the previous reviewer described. I use a great variety of shaving soaps and creams -- creams in the summer, soaps in the winter. You can't go wrong with one of these eucalyptus/menthol Italian jobs. Refreshing!"
