"Being able to adjust the razor means that I can mimic both closed and open channel razors depending on how long I wait to shave. The build quality is outstanding, it feels great to use. My only minor nitpick is that the mark to indicate which way to put the head back on so the adjustment reads properly is a little less obvious than it could be, but once you figure it out it's no problem."

Great razor

"I bought this a couple of months ago, just before Christmas 2018. I had been using the Merkur Futur and a Parker butterfly razor. It took me awhile to figure out the correct angle to use the razor since it is quite different than the other razors. I find the adjustable dial of the razor to be safer than the Merkur (the Merkur you have to hold the head and twist, which puts your hand too close to the blade). What has been working for me is to make the first pass at setting #5, and then back down to #3 and then #1 for the second and final pass. I have been getting very close shaves and just random nicks when I am getting too careless or shaving too quickly. I like the weight and finish of the razor. It is very easy to dissamble and change out the razor blade."
