The Secret to Soft Skin!
This raw silk net, known as ami-jō kito (net-structured raw silk), is produced by drawing thread from cocoons using a special method. As a result, it has volume and a distinctive crisp texture. The raw silk used is made entirely in Japan from pure domestically produced silk, utilizing specialized techniques.
One component of sericin, serine (an amino acid), is a natural protein with properties very similar to our skin’s natural moisturizing factors. Serine offers greater moisturizing power than collagen, helping keep the skin soft and hydrated. Because the towel retains sericin—a skin-friendly protein—it has a rougher texture compared to flat-woven silk mitts at first. However, with continued use, it leaves the skin feeling remarkably soft and smooth. It gently removes dirt and provides a refreshing, clean finish.

Do not scrub the same area of skin excessively.
After use, rinse off water and soap thoroughly and allow it to dry.
